Balancing all of the numerous demands in our lives is an intricate and constantly changing process. We should approach this goal with an awareness of the importance of this balance in determining our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Everyone periodically experiences the disruption of this balance, and restores it through the support of family and friends.  However, individual circumstances can exceed the capacity of these support systems and warrant professional intervention.

We respect the uniqueness of every client.  All clients are served in a manner that recognizes their individual differences and makes use of their individual strengths and resources.  A personalized plan of services is developed with each client in order to tailor the treatment to fit these unique characteristics.

We value a holistic understanding of every client.  Center services will be based on a thorough appraisal of the client as a whole person.  Therapy will be sensitive to the person's family dynamics, as well as to their environmental and cultural context.

We value services to young people, which strengthen their family relationships.  We will strive whenever possible to serve young people in a manner which strengthens family resources and their ability to provide support and guidance to the child.  We believe that parents (or surrogate parents) are important partners in the treatment process.

We value focused services.  Personalized service plans will have focused objectives designed to assist clients to make at least "small steps" toward changing their lives.  Clients will be engaged in a respectful process of selecting areas of their lives which they can realistically change in a reasonable period of time.  We believe that realistic hope is an essential ingredient of successful treatment.

Services: Services are designed around what is most helpful for the unique concerns and circumstances presented.  Every effort is made to develop an individualized response that is sensitive to personal goals.  Services currently provided on site are:

  • Diagnostic Assessment

  • Individual Counseling For All Ages

  • Group and Family Counseling

  • Medication Services

  • Consultation to Groups, Schools, Agencies, etc.

  • Parent Guidance Education

  • Support Groups for Parents

The staff of our counseling centers is a multi-skilled team, representing the fields of Medicine, Counseling and Social Work.  Each team member is fully licensed by the State of Ohio in his or her respective discipline.  The counseling centers are also licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health.

Cost:  The cost of mental health care often represents a barrier to persons who are in need.  Many of our services are payable by private insurance carriers.  We accept Medicaid and Medicare clients.
